About project

The redesign of the BÄCKER SYSTEMS e-commerce platform focused on streamlining the procurement process for industrial professionals. The project encompassed the homepage, product listings, and highly technical product pages. We prioritized building a robust, data-driven interface that handles complex specifications seamlessly. By organizing extensive catalogs and enhancing structural navigation, we created a digital environment where engineers and purchasing managers can efficiently locate, compare, and order the exact components required for their projects without friction.

Important functionalities

Dimension-based filtering

We integrated a precise filtering system based on exact dimensions, paired directly with a visual technical drawing. This allows technical users to quickly identify components that meet their strict engineering requirements.

Advanced product version table

To manage complex product families, we implemented an extensive version table on product pages. With built-in sorting and filtering capabilities, customers can effortlessly narrow down options to find the specific variant they need.

Series-based navigation

We designed a comprehensive navigation structure tailored to accommodate various distinct product series. This organized approach simplifies browsing through a vast catalog, guiding users directly to the relevant product lines.

Color-coded product groups

To further enhance visual orientation, product groups are highlighted using the distinct color assigned to their specific series. This intuitive visual cue helps users maintain context while navigating complex technical catalogs.
